How to store ground coffee so that it stays fresh for a long time?
Coffee preserves its taste only if it is stored tightly. The aroma of coffee gradually weakens and evaporates. The more air surrounds the coffee and the more often it is stirred, the faster the evaporation and oxidation processes take place (during oxidation, the coffee acquires a bitter aftertaste). For these two reasons, most coffee packaging bags have valves to help ensure that the bag does not expand from excess gas.

How to choose the right level of coffee grinding?
Coarseness is a critically important parameter. The finer the ground coffee, the slower the water passes through it. Therefore, finely ground coffee will have more bitter aftertastes in the cup. There are ways of preparing coffee where this is an advantage, such as espresso machines, mocha coffee makers or Turkish ibriks. For these coffee preparation methods, the coffee is finely ground, but there are also differences in coarseness recommendations between them. Coffee is ground to the smallest detail, down to flour, specifically for Turkish preparation.
A coarser grind results in a waterier coffee drink. This is especially noticeable in cooking methods that use pressure. Water seeps through coarser pieces of coffee much more easily and proper pressure simply cannot be obtained. And in an ordinary cup, too coarse coarseness can manifest as a liquid drink, pieces of coffee remaining floating on the surface.
It is in search of the right balance between sufficiently strong, but not bitter coffee, that medium grinding is recommended for roasting in a cup - neither very fine nor very coarse.
The coarsest grind is applied to filter brewing methods (although here too there are subtle differences depending on the thickness of the filter used and the coffee itself).

How to choose the right coffee grinder?
Knowing how much coffee grinding affects the taste of the drink, wouldn't you like to be able to adjust it yourself? If you are planning to buy a coffee grinder, be sure to pay attention to a few things.
The most important part of the coffee grinder is the one responsible for grinding the beans. It is very important that the grinding technique used ensures a uniform size of the bean pieces. Because of this, burr grinders are the most reliable choice. Blade grinders grind coffee unevenly - while some of the coffee has already turned into flour, other coffee beans are barely touched.
Mill grinders will allow you to determine the desired coarseness of coffee grinding and change it, thus constantly improving the taste of the coffee drink, or adapt it to a different preparation method. So, the second very important aspect is the range of adjustment of grinding coarseness and the size of the step. The more precisely the mills can be locked, the more you will bond with your new grinder.
Also, when choosing, pay attention to the durability of the grinder, their size (the larger the grinder, the fewer revolutions will be required to grind the same amount of coffee), the ergonomics of using the grinder (if it is a manual device), the fixation of the grinding step and the capacity of the container.
